Landscape East & West Awards and Industry Recognition

Recognized for thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and landscapes built to last.

The best reward for us is seeing the joy a new or renovated luxury landscape brings to our clients; however, we are also thrilled to have our hard work recognized by our industry peers. Landscape East & West has consistently received awards for our design expertise, craftsmanship, and professionalism.

While we love our moment in the spotlight, the honors we receive really showcase what our clients can expect when working with us. Each award is an independent validation of our design and building standards across our projects, no matter how complex or high-budget. The recognition from our peers helps assure our clients that their project team will meet or exceed industry benchmarks, and they’ll be left with a landscape that matches their vision and thrives in all seasons.

Featured Award

In 2025, we won the NARI Remodeler of the Year Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living over $250,000. Then we got an even bigger boost when the same project was named NARI’s Region 6: Northwest 2026 Regional RotY Winner for Residential Landscape Design/ Outdoor Living over $250,000! For this award, we were honored for our work on the renovation of the landscape at the historic Wells-Guthrie house in Mt. Tabor. The project blends Arts and Crafts principles to harmonize with the home’s history, with serene Japanese elements that together form a functional, modern, outdoor space featuring a fire table, hot tub, decks, pavilion, pool, pergola, and outdoor kitchen, softened by strategic lighting and plant selection and placement. We are always proud to be recognized by NARI, as their purpose is to strengthen the professionalism of the remodeling industry to build public trust. Professionalism and trust are core values we embrace.

Around The House

While not an award, we were happy to be featured on an episode of Around the House NW, which highlighted the beautiful outdoor space we created for the Historic Wells-Guthrie House in Portland. Working closely with the clients, we designed a landscape that celebrated the history of the home and enduring principles of the Arts and Crafts movement, then blended in Japanese design and Taoist elements of metal, water, wood, earth, and fire. The result is a luxurious yard, customized for our clients’ desires, and made for year-round outdoor living.Take a look at this episode, Hot For Your House: Custom landscaping with top-tier craftsmanship courtesy of Landscape East & West

Other Awards We’ve Won

NARI – National Association of the Remodeling Industry

2024 Contractor of the Year-Residential Detached Structure

The entry was redesigned to complement the home. We drew attention to this new space with a strategically placed gazebo that features open gables and a chandelier to bring warmth, while rain chains carry water to nearby stone planter beds. The cozy new design welcomes guests.

2024 Contractor of the Year Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living $100,000 – $250,000

The newly established garden features a cohesive design, complete with a cozy covered patio with a fireplace, a custom water feature that attracts wildlife and muffles traffic noise, and winding paths lined with colorful foliage and flowers.

2024 Contractor of the Year Regional Winner Region 6 Northwest Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living over $250,000

This sloping site was transformed into a formal French-inspired estate with terraces connected by wide staircases, formal tree rows and boxwood hedges, a tiered fountain with reflecting pools, and a greenhouse. Dolomite walking paths weave through rose and peony gardens while a fruit tree orchard, custom trellises, and formal walkways complete the space.

2023 Contractor of the Year Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living $100,000 – $250,000

A neglected yard was reimagined with a high-desert resort-feel entertainment space, complete with a hot tub and fireplace, to provide the owners with greater use of their large lot. The side yard access at just 4 feet wide with a 9-foot drop proved a challenge, but one our team readily overcame.

2023 Contractor of the Year Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living $100,000

This small backyard felt cramped and unusable. A newly constructed deck, custom fencing and gate, a bluestone patio and path, and added plantings and strategic lighting create a yard that feels more spacious and offers opportunity for outdoor gatherings and enjoyment.

2021 Residential Landscape Design/Outdoor Living $100,000 – $200,000

A family with young children recognized a need for more outdoor play space and also wanted an area to relax and entertain while still keeping an eye on the kids. The shallow yard full of fir trees and little else was transformed into a beautiful, modern, usable hardscape for the whole family.

Oregon Landscape Contractors Association (OLCA)

2019 1st Place Residential Design/Build $35k to $75k

Visitors to this home are welcomed as they stroll up the paver path by a combination of lawn, Angila edgers and boulders that give an artistic feel. We installed a spacious rear patio with a bubbler and fire feature. Added texture comes from custom wood screens and steel edging, while vibrant plantings and containers complete the look.

2019 1st Place Residential Design/Build $75k to $150k

To complement the existing entertainment deck, we designed a more intimate space with a natural feel. The use of boulders, a free-standing pergola built atop basalt columns, and added gravel paths that blend into the surrounding plantings creates a perfect place for reading or relaxing with a glass of wine.

2019 2nd Place Residential Installation $75k to $150k

The former run-down yard was redesigned into two distinct spaces connected visually and functionally with wide staircases flanked by raised planters that create a buffer between the home and the circulation moving between the spaces. The upper dining area and lower lawn for playing have different uses but blend seamlessly.
